Karla is MYOP’s online English and Spanish teacher. She was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico. She has enjoyed growing up and then living in this international city full time, which is home to “Tequila” and “Mariachi.”

She grew up with an English teacher mother and has been surrounded with English since a young age. As she got older, she helped her mother tutor the students, but she didn’t want to pursue a career in teaching.

However, as life happens, teaching found her after all!

She now teaches English at a private Elementary school where she absolutely loves it! Though she enjoys teaching students of all ages, she enjoys the younger children the best as she finds them such interesting “sponges!” They learn fast and they have fun things to share.

Karla doesn’t just enjoy teaching children, she also enjoys taking professional photos of newborns! She was quite content with teaching, but something was pulling her to photography.

Her husband encouraged her to open her own newborn photography business and now she does that around her teaching schedule!

Another interest of Karla’s is that she loves traveling! She has had the opportunity to explore different parts of the world and interact with a variety of cultures. She cannot wait to share her stories and enthusiasm with her future students!
